My Personal Fight Against Bullies

For a while now I've been thinking of what I could do to help the end the bullying crisis. Still at a standstill with ideas, I've decided to communicate my personal thoughts and hope that others will contribute theirs as well, so that together we can EXTERMINATE any and all Bullying! I'm the mother of 2 young boys. Jonathan, 4 and Ian, 2. Soon they will be entering into their school careers, which in so many cases marks the start to bullying. Up until that happens, they are always supervised by an adult who loves them. My fear is that starting at the end of this year, Jonathan will embark into Kindergarten, which leaves me with so little control.

I stress communication and education. Even at this young age, I try and teach my children compassion for others and tolerance. It is so important for them to know that they can always come to me, my husband or any adult that they trust, with any concern that they may have. Equally important is to pay attention to what is happening in their world and not blind ourselves to what could be detrimental behaviors and attitudes.

In our home, there will ALWAYS be a ZERO Tolerance Rule! As much as I would hate for my children to be bullied, I would be equally devastated if my kids were the ones bullying others. Absolutely in no way, shape or form will this ever be allowed, excused or tolerated!! I truly believe that it starts in the home. My HOME will be a breeding ground for teaching my kids love, hope, faith, compassion, tolerance and understanding.

Join with me in this fight! Let's teach our children together, right from wrong. Let's take responsibility for this epidemic NOW! Let's flash out the bully's and put a stop to them, Today!

We're Parents! It's time we ALL get involved.
